Geographically located in Kangavar, Anahita Temple is the second biggest stone structure of Iran. This historical monument dates back to the time before Christ birth. According to some written documents, Anahita Temple was constructed to honor the god of water, Anahita, but unfortunately after the advent of Islam was damaged a lot and that is the reason why the actual date of this magnificent site is still unclear. The entrance part of Anahita Temple has reciprocal stairway which is in the south and in the north, there are unilateral steps leading to the building of the temple. Because of facing so many natural and human-made disasters, it is difficult to talk about its application and architecture style, but the system of water distribution inside the Anahita Temple is one of the masterpieces of ancient engineering, it was planned in a way that it perfectly displayed the holy element of water. There were four aisles that water passed through and reflected the images of the cow head on the four top sides. This historical ruin is fully explored in Kermanshah tour operated by Alaedin Travel.
