Lahijan is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of Gilan Province in North of Iran on the coastal line of Glorious Caspian Sea. The city is also famous as the city of tea because it was the first place in Iran where tea was planted upon the order of Kashef al-Saltaneh, one of the prominent people of that time, and then was expanded in other towns. After his death, to keep the memory of his valuable doing, a museum was constructed beside his tomb. His tomb is a square construction which has 6 columns and an arched entrance. The museum was named Museum of Kashef al-Saltaneh or History of Tea Museum in Lahijan. Imagine you are getting ready for visiting a museum which is fully surrounded by gardens of tea; that looks really amazing. The facade of the tomb museum is covered with dark gray stone and the interior part with marble stone; all and all it is really a must see while you travel to Iran and Lahijan.
