The long days of May is a great opportunity for nature lovers, especially for travelers who visit Tehran. The capital and its surroundings feature very attractive tourist destinations. One of this places is the beautiful village of Afjeh. This village is situated in Lavasan-e Kuchak rural district in Shemiranat with many gardens and waterfalls. The village is mostly known because of Havij Plain in Lavasan. It is considered as the most beautiful attraction of the region. On the north side of the plain, there is the mountain pass of Afjeh which is accessible through a narrow path. This path connects Afajeh to Lar National Park and Central Alborz Mountains. It’s said that Nasser-al-Din Shah and other Qajar kings used this path to drive their carriage to the plain of Lar and other villages of these areas. The path is covered with cobblestone in some places, and that’s why it is also called Shah Abbasi path. Ghole-rizan, Ateshkuh, Mehrchal and Parshin are some of the mountains in Havij Plain. To reach the plain you should drive five kilometers on Lashgarak Road, and pass Lavasan. Most of the travelers visit fields and gardens and spend several hours in the beautiful nature of this region. Walking on the altitudes, and watching the beautiful attractions and landscapes of the Afjeh Valley can be full of fun and enjoyment.
