Our ancestors and fathers were not submitted easily toward difficulties of individual and social life. One of the biggest difficulties was the far distance between water sources and the residence place. There were many underground and on terrestrial springs located in the mountains, and when plumbing technology was not available, it was impossible for people to access water resources. As an example of "limitation causing creativity", our creative ancestors made one of the greatest and most ingenious initiatives of human history: Qanat. The instruments consist of wells and springs, sometimes with a few dozen kilometers and a few hundred liters per second, and consisting of hundreds of wells. One of these most ingenious and masterpieces structures is Mazd Abad Qanat in Meymeh, the place which among 10 other monuments of our homeland has been selected for registration at the UNESCO World Heritage List. Mazd Abad Qanat in Isfahan (located in the city of Meymeh) has unique features that you have to see to believe. This qanat with 18 kilometer length is the only qanat of the world that has two floors, where hot and cold water flows simultaneously! This qanat has been excavated without modern equipment in ancient times, while at the same time they have built underground dam, the dam that is built in a well under the ground so makes it possible to harvest plenty of water in the low-rain seasons. Among the three qanats of Isfahan Province, Mazd Abad Qanat in Meymeh is the longest and probably because of its length or mastery of its construction or the history of its construction it was called at the late October, 2018 as the sisterhood with Qasabeh Qanat in Gonabad.
