Yazd is known as the first clay town, also the second historical city of the world. This city consists of many famous adobe buildings such as Vaght o Saat Square. According to Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Yazd, first urban town clock of the world was installed in Jameh Mosque square of Yazd beside Seyed Rokn Addin tomb in 724 AH, by Abobakr Yazdi who was a Watchmaker. This building caused the square to be named as Vaght o Saat Square and it has shown the importance of time for Iranian from ancient time. This complex consists of a square formed plan, water storage, Husseinieh and old brick corridors with the style of Qajar architecture. The water storage of the complex was built in 1121 AH by Khajeh Shah Amir Astarabadi and it has 49 stairs and four wind catchers on the tank. It has been registered in the National monuments of the country with the registration number 1611, in 1357 AH.
