Zein-o-Din Caravanserai in Mehriz

Zein-o-Din Caravanserai in Mehriz which is situated on Silk Road, dates back to 16th century and were built during the Shah Abbas dynasty. This caravanserai is orbicular from outside and dodecagon from inside. As you enter this circular structure through a wooden door, you find yourself in a beautiful courtyard. There are rooms around the courtyard but there are other rooms outside of the caravanserai which are separated only by heavy curtains. Zein-o-Din Caravanserai got renovated in 2016 with preservation of its special architecture. It used to be a place for gunmen and guards but after renovation has been a place to accommodate guests in Mehriz. Tidy convenient Rooms are equipped with required facilities. You can experience real calmness in the heart of the desert far from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a traditional restaurant inside the caravansary which serves delicious local and Iranian cuisines. The observation of the night sky and stars is also another attraction of this place.
