Cheek Augmentation
Many men and women have flattened cheeks because of several reasons including aging, excessive thinness, or specific anatomy. Cheek augmentation is considered as the best and most common way for achieving more prominent and beautiful cheeks.
The most common ways for enjoying prominent cheeks are cheek augmentation filler, cheek augmentation surgery, check augmentation fat transfer, and cheek augmentation implant.
Among cheek augmentation benefits are fuller cheeks that improve your appearance, balancing your other facial features, and even helping you look more youthful.
It should be noted that depending on the method, cheek augmentation is long lasting. Another positive point worth mentioning is that cheek augmentation complications are fortunately rare, and may only include bleeding and temporary loss of sensation in the cheeks.
It is also noteworthy that cheek augmentation cost in Iran is much lower compared to other countries that offer cheek implant (check augmentation) with even lower quality.
Based on the patient’s specific anatomy this very safe procedure is performed through one of the following methods:
• Injection with patient’s own fat. In this method your cosmetic surgeon extracts fat from the patient’s own body and injects it. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, and is ideal because it does not cause any immune system problems, and also does not leave any scars. It should also be added that as fat can be absorbed in the body, some patients retain 60 to 80% of the injected fat over time.
• Using injectable soft tissue filler. In this method soft filler tissue is injected using a tiny needle. Cheek augmentation using this method is permanent, and is performed under local anesthesia.
• Placing solid implant over the cheekbone. In this method your cosmetic surgeon makes incisions inside the mouth above the gum line, and places solid implants over the cheekbone. Cheek augmentation using this method is permanent, performed under general anesthesia, and leaves no scars on the face.
What can I do before the surgery?
