Chahar Bagh Boulevard is one of the main and historical streets of Isfahan. This boulevard divided the northern part of the city from the southern part and it has the connecting role for these two parts. Si-o-se Pol or Alahverdi Khan Bridge was the connecting bridge of these two parts of Chahar Bagh Boulevard. The construction of Chahar Bagh Boulevard dates back to the time when shah Abbas decided to change his capital city from Qazvin to Isfahan. Hasht Behest and Chehel Sotoun Palaces are located on the east side of the street. Chahar Bagh Boulevard which ended to Zayanaderud River, in each junction, there also was a pool to make the street more beautiful. On each side of Chahr Bagh Boulevard, there were gardens and mansions constructed for the kings and officials, and in some cases local people were permitted to use them.
