Libraries are precious treasures of books in different periods of history across the world. In Kerman National Library (central library) that shines like a diamond, there are 121000 books. The basic foundation of the library returns to 1308 Hijri calendar (the first Pahlavi era) which was built in an amazing place. The architect of Kerman National Library was Mohammad Ali Ravari that in the first place, built a tegular building for Khorshid textile factory. The factory was closed after a few years. After Islamic revolution, some departments started their business in different parts of the factory. Kerman national library was repaired because of too many damages that it had. After reparation, the first exhibition called Misaq, was hold there. It was about Islamic revolution pictures. In 1368, after shutting down the textile devices, the factory kept working under the name of Kerman Center until it was changed to the library in 1370. Kerman national library is located in one of one story salons of the factory. This building was registered as Iranian national works in 1378. There are too many tall cedars in the area of this building which are symbols of the Persian Garden. The façade is built with mosaic, cyan and brick tiling. There are different sections in the library such as reception, reference part, Manuscripts and Lithography, Technical services, Safety part, libraries for blinds, holly defense professional library, study salons and children library.
