Located in Zanjan Province, Katale Khor Cave is the most unique cave of Iran. This cave is as old as Alisadr Cave in Hamadan but in contrast to Alisadr which is a water cave, Katale Khor is dry. It is also believed that these two caves are connected to each other. Some geologists say that Katale Khor cave is the heritage of Jurassic period. This cave consists of three levels and owns many tunnels and columns. The most beautiful parts of the cave are the crystal clear icicles hung from the ceiling, they let the light pass through and this process makes a breath taking scenery. Nowadays there are three parts of cultural, recreational and sport sections which the last one could only be used by spelunkers.
