Imam Hassan Askari Mosque is one of the oldest mosque of Qom. Some believe that the mosque was built upon the order of the 11th Shia Imam while others believe that the mosque is older and was constructed on the ruins of a fire temple. The mosque is geographically located in a place that connects two parts of the city. The historical Imam Hassan Askari Mosque is full of beautiful items. An octagonal space decorated with nice tiles is what you see after you enter the mosque. On the southern part, there is an old Iwan which has many booths designed with stucco and Quranic scripts. On the sides of the Iwan, there are some columned Shabestans and are connected to the courtyard. Join Alaedin Travel to take you to Qom and accompany you in visiting its exciting attractions.
