Sabzevar, one of the cities of Khorasan Razavi Province, was the birthplace of great scholars and philosophers that one of their most prominent one was Hajj Molla Hadi Sabzavari. Hadi Sabzavari was one of the outstanding scholars in the field of Islamic science and philosophy. His tomb was built on the southern side of Kargar Square of Sabzevar and dates back to the Qajar era. The original monument of the tomb was built shortly after the death of Hajj Molla Hadi Sabzavari upon the orders of Mirza Yusuf Mostofi Al Malek. The decoration, restoration and strengthening of the tomb was carried out by the National Art Association in the beginning of 1340. The building is made of brick and consists of a main tomb room and four porches around this main room. In addition, a brick dome was built on the main room of the tomb. There are also two chambers and two small porches in this complex. The entrance to this building is located on the north-east. If you look at the ceiling of the dome and the roof of the four porches, you can see the mirror works done which have a special beauty. The tomb is one of the buildings that has a chalipa-shaped design in which chambers and rooms are embedded. Colorful tiles on the field of lazuli and the dome of the turquoise paints are the factors that play important roles in the beautification of the tomb building. A large marble was used to make a grave. The point about the dome of the Tomb of Sabzevari is that it is made of several semicircles which are not seen in most domes of traditional Iranian architecture.
