During the last decades, after introducing Tehran as an exhibition center to the world, a need for having another exhibition center in addition to the Tehran International Exhibition Center started to appear. Officials decided to build a center in the southernmost part of Tehran near the holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini. Aftab City Exhibition in Tehran fulfills the need during the last years. The center has two entrances which are heavily inspired by the architecture of Famous Persian Gardens. They are designed with traditional style water gutters surrounded by green area all leading to a square with a lot of water fountains. Mellal Hall in Aftab City Exhibition in Tehran may seem the most interesting part due to the fact that it was flourished according to the traditional Iranian architecture. Last but not least, the center is near to the international Airport of IKA so it has many easy reaching routes.
