Located in the north part of the city, Qeytariyeh Park is a famous vast park in Tehran. This garden at first belonged to Naser al-Din Shah Qajar’s sister, and with the help of the mayor in the office at that time, Gholamreza Nikpey, the large garden turned into Qeytariyeh Park. The pool inside the park has an irregular geometrical shape. Thanks to a variety of tree species including elm, ash, robinia, oak, honeyberry, weeping willow, cottonwood, magnolia and shrubs, this park with many picturesque views is a great place for photographers and nature lovers. Melal Cultural Center that is situated in the middle of the Qeytariyeh Park, has started its activities in 1994 and has become an important cultural, artistic and educational center for the region. This center features facilities such as a library, conference hall, art museum and some educational classes. There are also playgrounds and athletic field. Due to the green and charming environment of the park, many families and visitors spend their spare time here.
