Khan Bathhouse is in the heart of Yazd which has been converted into a restaurant and teahouse after the renovation. Some parts of the bathhouse are also now used as the kitchen and are not open for visitors. Khan Bathhouse in Yazd was built in 1798 by the then governor of Yazd Mohammad Taqi Khan Bafqi. The vaulted ceilings and archways, glass windows and fading murals are the absolute delight. In spite of the chambers that the sounds of silverware, plates and conversations are echoed, the underground location of this bathhouse is a welcome and cool rest from the summer heat of this desert city. The bathhouse includes a changing room (Sarbineh), a hot chamber (Garm Khaneh) and a pool located next to the Garm Khaneh. There are elevated platforms around the Sarbineh and shelves to store shoes and clothes. A beautiful skylight guides the daylight into the changing room. There are traces of Qajar era on the paintings on the walls of the bath. Book your hotel and ticket through Alaedin Travel to experience a unique and unforgettable trip to Iran.
