Bazaar of Zanjan is the longest covered bazaar of Iran. It is located in a city with the same name, Zanjan. The construction of Zanjan Bazaar started during the kingdom of Agha Mohammad Khan and finished when Fath- Ali Shah was the king in Qajar Era. Some mosques, halls and bathhouses were later added to the bazaar. Zanjan Bazaar was a proper center for sharing social ideas and had an important role in keeping the religious and national customs alive. The bazaar is divided into two upper and lower sections and many different goods are sold there. The architectural style of Qajar period is beautifully depicted in different parts of the bazaar. The ceiling is decorated with eye catching bricks and tiles in several geometric shapes. The most beautiful architecture and decoration style of Qajar era could be seen in Jame Mosque of the city which is adjacent to the bazaar.
