Abadan Museum

Abadan Museum is one of the oldest Iranian museums which is one of the main tourist attractions of Abadan due to the richness of objects displayed in the museum. It turned into a main hall and two subsidiary halls after 15 years of repair and restoration. The main hall of Abadan Museum is the permanent display of the Museum's works, including works of Safavid and Qajar dynasties. This museum showcases items of anthropological and historical value including bronze statues, equestrian equipment, clay vessels and animal statues found in Ilam and Lorestan excavations. In addition, poems written by the great Persian poets are visible on its walls. A handicraft exhibition featuring indigenous crafts is displayed in a part of this museum during the days of Nowruz where the visitors are most welcomed and handicrafts are being sold.
