Arvand Rood River flows in the townships of Khoram Shahr, Abadan and to the west of Minoo Island. The border Arvand Rood River is as long as 84 kilometers in the case of sharing border with Iraq. This river is known as Shat-ol-Arab in Iraq and has been formed by meeting the two rivers of Tigris and Euphrates. These are joined at a place called Qarneh, southwest of Abadan and flow alongside of Basra. After following a long course and flowing through Khoram Shahr and Abadan, it ultimately reaches the Persian Gulf.
