Emarat-e Badgir of Golestan Palace in Tehran is the third construction of this complex considering its age. The mansion was constructed during Fath Ali shah by Iranian architecture. The name was taken from the tall wind catchers of the mansion. Emarat-e Badgir of Golestan Palace consists of a big “shah Neshin” and two small rooms connected to it. The hall has 9 sash windows and two painted spiral columns which are truly breath-taking. The coloring and decorations of the walls, ceiling and the ground are all fantastic paintings and mirror works. Talking about the design and decoration, Emarat-e Badgir of Golestan Palace is one of the most valuable heritages of Iranian ancient periods. Under the mansion, there is a big “Howz Khaneh” with four wind catchers on four sides which were used to ventilate the air in the summer.
