Atabakan Mosque in Shahrekord was constructed in 12th century during the rule of Hazaraspids dynasty. It is considered as one of the oldest structures in the county that has remained up to now in result of renovations throughout the time.  The initial building was stablished with brick and mud, but later in Safavid dynasty, it was covered with decorative bricks. The mosque has two entrances on the northern and western sides, which the northern door replaced in Qajar period, and the original door, that is about 800 years old, is kept at Shahrekord Museum. The western entrance opens toward Imamzadeh Halima and Hakima Khatun. The central dome with brick columns and corridors surrounding the dome and the Shabestan makes this mosque stand out from other ones. Besides, there are four thick prism-shaped pillars in the middle of the Shabestan and the low-ceiling of Shabestan and the middle dome are firmed on them. The Altar is simple and lacks decoration, and there are also some windows on the walls to keep the mosque light.
