It is not exactly clear when Eram Garden was built in Shiraz and who ordered to build it, but according to some travel stories dating back to tenth and eleventh centuries of Hijri calendar, we can make sure that the garden was in a great condition during Seljuq and Injuid dynasties. Karim Khan Zand also made a lot of effort for expanding and developing Eram Garden. The main part is a mansion located just right at the heart of the garden. This mansion is a masterpiece of Qajar architecture style due to its magnificent paintings, tile and plaster works. The mansion has three floors whose lower rooms were used to take rest in hot summer days. The upper two floors owns the columns which were inspired by those of the Persepolis. A big eye catching picture depicting some scenes of Shahnameh and the battles of Qajar kings adds to the beauty of the Eram Garden. During Pahlavi period, a great deal of renovations were applied to the Eram Garden and fortunately today it hosts many visitors and mesmerize the eyes of any beholders.
