Imamzade Davood Shrine is a pilgrimage site that is located in a mountainous place in north-west of Tehran. The tomb was built during Safavid dynasty and was developed during the rule of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar. The main building consists of an octagonal shrine, a basement or cellar, and sharp dome along with two Minarets. Besides, there is a magnificent Zarih built with sophisticated materials in the middle of the shrine. Imamzade Davood Shrine is surrounded with hostel and venders and due to the difficulty of the route and the pleasant climate of the region, staying in the inns is quite common. The pilgrimage of the site has become one of the Tehrani’s habits since Qajar dynasty. As a result of this, Naser-al-Din Shah Qajar built a palace in the vicinity of the shrine, so that he could rest after visiting the shrine.
