Mehraban House is one of the most valuable monuments in the Udlajan neighborhood of Tehran and is located at Shahid Firooz Kuhi Alley, Amirkabir Street and Shahid Alireza Javidi Street. According to some documents, this historic house belonged to Mohebali Khan Khalaj who was one of the governor of the Qajar period, but on the map of Abdul Ghafar Najm al-Doleh this house was at the disposal of Zobeide Khatun who was one of the wives of Nasser al-Din Shah. Mehraban House in Tehran was purchased by Mr. and Mrs.  Mehraban Manesh after some transfers, and was endowed to Kahrizak Charity Foundation as a place for packing popular donations. Mehraban House has been used for many various activities over the years and finally in 2005 after repairs and rebuilding, it was placed on the list of nationally registered works of Iran. The architecture of Mehraban House in Tehran which is built in two floors, with a central courtyard and rooms in the upper and lower floors is a memorial to the style and principles of the architecture of the first Pahlavi era. The rooms in lower floor had no windows and were used as storage rooms, and the upper floor was for everyday life. Gypsum was used in decoration of the building's facade of Mehraban House. Materials such as gypsum, sandal wood and sponge stone were used to construct the building. The roof of Mehraban House is made of sandal wood, which is covered with thatch and rush.
