Chitgar Park is situated in the west part of Tehran and the easiest way to reach there is to drive through Tehran-Karaj Highway. Aside from beautiful nature and ecotourism amenities, recreational facilities such as Skate Park and bike riding track are designed in this forest park. A number of booths that sell foods and drinks and rent bicycles are also provided. Chitgar Lake, an artificial lake, is located in the northern part of the park. The total area of this lake is as wide as 130 hectares, and its source originates from Kan Creek. Featuring 30 kilometers bike riding track, Chitgar Park is a safe and special place for group activities, and it is the only multipurpose park in Tehran. Conifer plants and trees cover a vast part of the park, and the purpose of constructing the park was to increase the amount of oxygen in the capital.
